painting our own property.

with you from start to finish. Whether it’s helping choose the right colour or accommodating
your schedule, we go the extra mile to make the painting process smooth and enjoyable for
you.
What We Offer in Rotorua:
Our Rotorua branch offers the full spectrum of painting and finishing services: interior and exterior painting, roof painting, plastering and surface preparation, wallpaper removal/hanging, deck and fence staining, and more. We have a team of qualified painters who know the Rotorua area, its climate, and its homes. This local expertise means we can recommend the best solutions for your specific situation (for example, which paints will resist the sulphur in geothermal areas, or how to deal with older native timber weatherboards common in Rotorua houses).
One of our signature offerings is a free color consultation for every project. Choosing colours can be overwhelming - our experienced advisors are here to help. We’ll discuss your ideas, show you sample charts, and even paint test patches if needed. The goal is to ensure you feel confident and excited about the colors and finishes we’ll be applying. We love this part of the process because it really helps clients visualize the transformation and feel involved in the creative aspect.
Our Team:
Tomar Contracting Ltd is staffed by a friendly team of professional painters, led by management with years of experience in the painting industry. Every team member is vetted, trained, and committed to our company’s high standards. We often work in teams on larger jobs, but even if one painter is handling a smaller project, you can expect the same level of dedication. We’re a tight-knit crew that communicates well and supports each other - which translates to a better experience for our customers and consistent results.
Community and Sustainability:
Being part of the Rotorua community means a lot to us. Whenever possible, we source supplies locally and support local businesses. We also aim to minimize waste and environmental impact: using eco-friendly products (low-VOC paints, for instance) and disposing of paint materials responsibly. As painters, we understand the importance of preserving the beauty of our surroundings - after all, we’re in the business of beautification! We’re also happy to provide advice to customers on selecting environmentally friendly paint options that are better for your home’s indoor air quality and the planet.
